Project: Mariposa Bungalow
A friend asked us to refresh his charming but dated 1891 bungalow, situated in a neighborhood filled with modern new builds. Many people choose to buy these bungalows only to tear them down and replace them with 4,000 square foot white and black structures that hardly pass as architecture. Naturally, we were excited about the opportunity to breathe new life into this lovely home while preserving the character that makes it special.
Old homes often come with unexpected surprises, and our design chops were tested in balancing the traditional style of the bungalow with modern and industrial touches, all while incorporating the warmth of our Colorado Cool aesthetic. We embraced this challenge wholeheartedly, and our friend and client couldn’t be happier with his refreshed home.
